One hundred and six students out of 210 enrolled in the PGA Golf Management Program at Coastal Carolina University currently have GPAs above a 3.0. The minimum GPA to remain eligible for the program is a 2.0.
More than 45 Coastal Carolina University students were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, on April 4, 2018. Beta Gamma Sigma encourages and honors academic achievement in the study of business, and cultivates and celebrates leadership and professional excellence. In order for a business program to have a BGS chapter, it must be accredited by AACSB International, and undergraduates must be within the top 10 percent of their business program in order to be inducted into the society.
The Rotaract Club of Coastal Carolina University recently raised money for the Rotary Smiles Project to help children in need of cleft palate surgery in the Philippines. The club donated $202 that benefitted more than 70 children by providing fruit, water, books and toys to the children. The club also contributed handmade cards and a banner with encouraging messages.

The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced the roster of the 2015-16 Assumption College Men's Basketball team. The Greyhounds' winter season, which began with two wins at the Stonehill Tip-Off Classic November 13-14. "It has been a pleasure to work with the men's basketball team this season," said Michael Harding, head coach of Assumption's men's basketball team. The team began the 2015-2016 season on a high note with big wins over Le Moyne College and Saint Michael's College. The Assumption College men's basketball team also supported Reilly Reid for his performance on the court that led to him being named as the Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) Player of the Week.

Louisburg College recognizes athletes who achieved high levels of academic success. On February 18, 2015, the College recognized over 100 athletes during the Hurricane Scholar Athletes Awards Ceremony in the Roger G. Taylor Athletic Center.
Almost 300 JMU students embarked on 30 alternative spring break trips around the country and world this year. The students spent the week servicing others in their destination community while staying focused on teamwork and reflection within their group. Students practiced living simply and were fully submerged in the culture of their surrounding.
